| The Design One studios are located in the heart of historic Silvermine. Silvermine began as an artist's colony in 1906 when the famous sculptor Solon Borglum bought the barn that became his studio. The original artists started the "Knockers Club" and eventually founded what is today the Silvermine Guild of Artists.
